Elastic Silicon Straps for Everyday Use
Get yourself a pack of cheap and sturdy elastic silicon straps as a replacement for failing rubber straps on bicycle and other bike accessories.
Most cyclists might have a small bike light that came with elastic silicon straps to mount them in about every place on their bike. Be it on the handle bar, seat post, fork, or luggage rack, these small silicon straps are super handy and eventually break at some point. The moment when the small rubber-like band snaps, is often when you don't really have time for it. Usually, we try to find any kind of replacement and question ourselves whether it is time to buy a new bike light. Been there, done that.
Then trying to find a replacement, I came across a very decent elastic silicon strap on AliExpress. They are about 7 cm in length and quite thick, making them extremely robust. You can get a set of 12 pieces for less than $3. Since I have them, I always keep a spare one in my saddlebag for every occasion to come. As simple as these straps are, they saved me in many situations and I highly recommend them to everyone.
